CHURCH HOMES FOR THE ELDERLY

The Church in Malta considers care for the elderly to be one of its main pastoral duties. This is achieved through the availability of the Homes for the Elderly that are managed by Religious Congregations and by the Curia Central Administration. The Church and Religious Homes provide care and support with bespoke care plans tailored to individual needs and provided by exceptional people who have a true passion for care. We are passionate about delivering the highest standard of care and treating every resident with the respect and the individuality they deserve.

Besides employing domestics, carers, registered nurses and other staff, religious nuns continue to provide a valuable and voluntary service in the religious homes and Dar tal-Kleru. A number of dedicated religious and diocesan priests frequent the Homes to celebrate mass and to provide spiritual direction and other spiritual services. The total licensed capacity of the 6 religious homes and the 2 church homes amount to 441 residents.
